"All too often we only see the difficulties and challenges associated with the numerous, tedious, seemingly meaningless (not true) activities associated with Fiscal and Human Resources [and Student] work. Wait though, consider our mission of helping children learn and helping teachers teach. Fixing a reimbursement form can be frustrating, correcting an account code on a PO for the umpteenth time can be exasperating until we view our work through the eyes of our mission. Our work is part of a truly noble cause; we help with this wonderful and very difficult (for all not just us) work of improving learning and teaching which does in fact change lives and provide opportunity. Just think of our mission compared to balancing the books, hiring, documenting, purchasing, etc. for other entities like airplane companies, trucking companies, TV stations, big box store. What a privilege we have. It’s hard work but oh so good and important work. Let’s commit to view Our Work Through The Eyes of Our Mission."
